Steven J Meyer

Steven J. Meyer, President

Steve became involved with the St. Joe Valley PHCC in 1985 when he returned to the area to work for OJ Shoemaker. He has been on the Labor Negotiation committee since 1990 and is chairman of that committee. Steve graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering. He went on to pursue his master’s degree in Engineering at Purdue, which he received in 1981. He is now President of OJS Building Services, Inc., a newly-formed HVAC service, building automation and energy-saving solution company. His other interests include snow skiing, boating, and golf. He is a strong supporter of local area rugby clubs.

 

Steven Seifer

Steve is president and owner of S.L.R. Plumbing Inc. of Niles, Mich. He has been in the business for 26 years. He is a member of Local 172, the Elks Club and the South Bend Maennerchor Club. His hobbies include golf, reading and travel. He has a wife, Pat, two children and three grandchildren. 

 

David Dodd

David Dodd is founder and CEO of DA Dodd Incorporated, which was founded in 1995. D.A. Dodd Inc. specializes in commercial, institutional, and industrial plumbing work with divisions performing service, construction and fabrication. Dave represents the St. Joe Valley PHCC on the negotiation and executive committee. D.A. Dodd Inc. has offices in Mishawaka, Rolling Prairie, Lafayette, Indiana and in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

 

Dave Frame, Treasurer

Dave Frame is president of Bob Frame Plumbing & Heating, a third-generation family-owned business since 1932. The company specializes in plumbing, service, resident and commercial customers and offers a 24-hour service. Dave has been involved in the PHCC for 20 years, following in the footsteps of his father, Bob. He is the former president of the Indiana PHCC, where he has served on the Expo Committee for six years and has been cochairman and  Indiana PHCC membership chairman.  He also serves on the Joint Apprentice Training Committee for the local UA 172 Apprentice Program. He was awarded Indiana Contractor of the Year in 2005 and was runner-up for the Delta Faucet Plumbing Contractor of the Year. He is a volunteers supporter of the Riley High School Wrestling Program, the South Bend Wrestling Club and the St. Joe Valley Horse and Pony Club.

 

Charles Watterson Jr., Secretary
Executive Committee

Charles Watterson Jr. entered the HVAC/R field in 1978 after graduating from the NRI School of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. He formed Watterson-Nielsen, Inc. a refrigeration service and construction contractor in 1979. Watterson joined Local 172 as a Journeyman Refrigeration Pipefitter in 1988. Mr. Watterson worked as a Journeyman Technician for Herrman & Goetz from 1988 to 1995, and then worked as service manager for Schuster Mechanical from 1995 until 2005. In 2005, Supreme Mechanical Contractors was formed and purchased Schuster Mechanical from Laurie Schuster who sold the business to pursue other interests. Charlie Watterson, Jr., has remained president of Supreme Mechanical since that time.

The company recently purchased property located at 2603 N. Foundation Drive in the airport industrial park, located on the north side of Michiana Regional Airport on South Bend’s northwest side. The purchase illustrates the commitment of the company to the community. Supreme Mechanical employs ten people in high paying, high tech positions. The company specializes in the service and installation of commercial refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, make up air units, industrial ovens and process piping systems.
